Hi 👋 I’m Julia and I’m a social media strategist and podcast manager.

My journey is probably a little unusual to most – when I left school a gazillion years ago, I studied psychology. After three years I decided I didn’t want to be a psychologist anymore and, after a bet (long story), I studied Mining Engineering.

I know!

But what was even more unexpected, was that I loved it and ended up working in the mining industry for 14+ years. I also worked as a risk engineering consultant for a couple of years after I had my daughter too.

But, as they say, sometimes big changes in life make you reevaluate, and after having my daughter and going through a separation, I started becoming intrigued about online marketing and started studying business, social media, and podcasting. So since 2015, I have immersed myself in social media, and the podcasting world.

I got my Certificate in Business and Online Marketing, completed a Bloggers MBA, completed my Social Media Management certification and Next Top Coach and Business Marketing Mastermind, and trained in Social Media for Business, Social media Content and Scheduling, Online Marketing Mastery, DIY PR, Blogging and Content Creation, Working with Brands, Website Development and Design, Facebook Ads, and Podcasting. Phew! I’m a lifelong learner. But education and learning is only the first step. Then it’s time to implement.

After successfully building up my own blog and podcast (which is consistently ranked in the top 30 in the iTunes kids and family category, and is the most popular podcast in my field), I began teaching others how to do the same and how to reach those same milestones through two-day workshops and 6 week online live programs (for those dreaming of starting a podcast but unsure of where to start).

In addition to running Australia’s longest-running podcast in my industry (single parenting), I founded HascheTag Media – to service all your podcasting needs. In addition to teaching in-person and live workshops, we offer “done for you” editing, show note creation, and general podcast management.

We also develop a social media strategy and social media management creation and implementation plans with a goal-oriented marketing approach that help you build a better business.

These days, I am fascinated by the psychology of podcasting and social media and have a special soft spot for working with mining companies or businesses that service the mining industry. In a way, I feel I have come full circle.
